“The Holiday Inn Express Lima San Isidro is certainly the best HIE I have stayed at so far and I'm surprised that it is not branded as Holiday Inn. Indeed, I have been to Crowne Plaza properties which were nowhere close the quality of the rooms here. I stayed at a King View room, lots of light and nice views! First, the bed is excellent. Second the bathroom with big walk in shower is very good, too. Third, floor to ceiling windows and high quality furnishings. For Peruvian standards all finishings in the building were to an extremely high standard, everything was perfectly built down to details of the corners of the walls. With the blinds closed the room was perfectly dark. The only thing which was on a typical HIE level were the coffee maker and very basic toiletries. Somehow weird to safe at the toiletries and give a cheap touch to the overall experience, in particular considering the upscale price for a South American Holiday Inn Express. The other negative thing is, as in all of Lima, the windows are only single glazed, which doesn't stop the noise from the street too well. Luckily, Lima's traffic dies around 9 PM so you will hardly have a problem. The noise insulation between the rooms is very good! Last but not least, the hotel is in the northern part of San Isidro, one of Lima's main business districts: busy during the day, boring at night.”
