The staff was great as well as the breakfast each day. I gave it a 4 as the common areas as well as the rooms need a little more TLC, but the staff keep it at a 4. It just seems that during COVID, the Marriott standards were very high for cleaning. We just did not experience this. The housekeeping seamed well staffed, so maybe just a leadership problem from the top down. Yes, this particular Marriott location was a better value that fit my spending goal, so I guess I got what I paid for. Overall, I am very satisfied with the staff, but I will spend a bit more next time I come into the Salt Lake area.

Clean rooms with a very comfortable layout. Breakfast was tasty and filling. The pool and hot tub were good. The exercise room was too small with limited equipment and weights.

I stayed here with my work crew for a conference down the road. One of my friends had another couple of strangers try and walk into their assigned their room so those people had to get new keys. Our room was " cleaned " by just replacing bathroom towels. I had friends that didnt have their room cleaned at all within a 3 night stay. Breakfast and coffee are mediocre. Our king kitchenette room was pretty nice, however they did not have a fan for the bathroom or door for the shower. They also do not respond to your reviews.

Decided to charge me for smoking in a room when I don't smoke nor have I ever. Also tried to charge me some other exorbitant fee for something they completely made up. When I ask that they provide me proof of their claims they produced nothing so I wonder if this is some sort of tactic they use often? Additionally, they charged me for a service animal which is actually against the law. I checked out in person and they made no mention of any issues then. It wasn't until several days later when I looked at my credit card statements that I found a $400 charge. Pretty sneaky and deceitful not to mention any type of problem when I checked out, but I will never be returning to this hotel again and I am looking at litigation regarding the service animal charge. I travel all the time with my company for work, often several days each month and now I will never consider this hotel or any of its affiliates again. It was a decent room, but for the price I certainly expected more. Essentially it was like any other hotel room only about $80 more and the only difference was they provided pots pans and some dishes and silverware. The breakfast was pitiful. Watery undercooked oatmeal , the juices in the machine were watered down , and there was not much of a selection. There are homeless people sleeping outside on their patio chairs all hours of the day and night. I left late at night to go and get a late night snack and I saw several people in regular clothes with dogs in the pool area. When they saw me they all retreated back to what looked like an employee on the area so it makes me think that it was employees having some friends over while on the job. Funny that my service animal seemed to be an issue but they allow late night employee pool parties with dogs. Interesting. I asked that they follow up with me with higher management regarding their claims and my charges and I have not received any sort of follow-up to date. Clearly they are focused on money and not the guest experience. The reason I was even at this hotel was my home had been flooded I was simply looking for a quiet place to shower, do some work and eat a good breakfast. Instead I was charged around $600 for a stay that I wouldn't have paid $100. I even mentioned to the girl out front when I was checking in the nature of my stay and it seems pretty disgusting that they would know my situation and charge me such a exorbitant amount when I was already dealing with a loss at home. Shameful.

Nice hotel with a great view for sure! Pool was decent and weight room is on the small size. Rooms are nice but need some work. Mounted soap dispenser in shower was a plus until it broke off the wall. Down side is not much open after 9pm in walking distance. Closest bar I found was about 20 min walk one way
