We stayed here for an anniversary celebration. In particular my partner and I were very excited to enjoy the spa facilities of the swimming pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Unfortunately all of these spa facilities were really quite disgusting. The floors in both the men’s changing rooms and around the pool were covered in bits from peoples shoes and socks, wet from a few days worth of people using them, toilets were dirty and smelt. There were even old ear buds (used!) on the sauna floor. The changing room showers had empty soap dispensers and some around the pool did not work leading me to wonder about the cleanliness of the pool and hot tub.Having really been looking forward to our relaxing night’s stay, it was sad to see my partner choosing not to use its facilities.I did speak to reception and the duty manager. Both were friendly and helpful. After assurances it would be resolved we tried again the next morning. It was better for sure but some of the rubbish laying around in the spa facilities were still present. The website talks about how much extra cleaning is done for guest peace of mind and safety but clearly this is not the case.I do not feel this is a staff issue but perhaps a lack of investment in key areas of the building. Theoretically, this Double Tree has everything it needs to be a wonderful hotel but needs some serious attention. Ficamos aqui para uma festa de aniversário. Em particular, meu parceiro e eu estávamos muito empolgados em aproveitar as instalações do spa com piscina, banheira de hidromassagem, sauna a vapor e sauna. Infelizmente, todas essas instalações de spa eram realmente nojentas. O chão dos vestiários masculinos e ao redor da piscina estava coberto de pedaços de sapatos e meias das pessoas, molhado por alguns dias de uso, os banheiros estavam sujos e cheiravam mal. Havia até fones de ouvido velhos (usados!) No chão da sauna. Os chuveiros dos vestiários tinham dispensadores de sabonete vazios e alguns ao redor da piscina não funcionavam, levando-me a pensar sobre a limpeza da piscina e da banheira de hidromassagem.Tendo realmente ansioso por nossa noite relaxante, foi triste ver meu parceiro optando por não usar suas instalações.Falei com a recepção e o gerente de plantão. Ambos foram simpáticos e prestativos. Após garantias de que seria resolvido, tentamos novamente na manhã seguinte. Com certeza estava melhor, mas ainda havia algum lixo espalhado pelas instalações do spa. O site fala sobre quanta limpeza extra é feita para tranquilidade e segurança do hóspede, mas claramente esse não é o caso.Não acho que seja uma questão de pessoal, mas talvez uma falta de investimento em áreas-chave do edifício. Teoricamente, este Double Tree tem tudo o que precisa para ser um hotel maravilhoso, mas precisa de muita atenção.

En particular, mi pareja y yo estábamos muy emocionados de disfrutar de las instalaciones de spa de la piscina, el jacuzzi, la sala de vapor y la sauna. Desafortunadamente, todas estas instalaciones de spa eran realmente bastante desagradables. Los pisos de los vestuarios de hombres y alrededor de la piscina estaban cubiertos con pedazos de zapatos y calcetines de la gente, mojados por los días que la gente los usó, los inodoros estaban sucios y olían mal. Incluso había auriculares viejos (¡usados!) En el piso de la sauna. This Hilton is really in need of some TLC, as it looks really tired in places.- We stayed in a room starting with 300, down on the lower floor. The walls of the corridor to our room were scraped, scuffed and it all just felt a bit dingy. - The main bedroom itself wasn't that clean, there were tablets from a previous guest (paracetamol or similar) on the floor, and my socks had blonde hair over them after walking around the room (I'm brunette). - Our bathroom needed some real attention, the bath had big gouges and scratches in it which had turned brown on the base and lip where you step in, and the grout was crumbling out of a large number of the floor tiles. There was also no toilet brush which I thought was odd! - *Please bear in mind there is no general lift for taking luggage to the top floors, only a disabled access lift which you need permission to use.*We didn't use the pool or spa, so I can't comment.On a positive note: - The staff were all lovely and very helpful, even at 1am when we came back from a family wedding! - The breakfast was quite nice with loads of choice, and had a nice view out onto the grounds. - We slept well, our bed was comfy and it was pretty quiet (I unfortunately can't say the same for my family who stayed up on the top floor and were kept awake by other guests). - The welcome cookie on arrival was a nice touch.Overall, not the quality I would expect from a Hilton hotel and I don't think the price was worth it. As paredes do corredor para o nosso quarto foram raspadas, arranhadas e tudo parecia um pouco sujo. - O quarto principal em si não estava tão limpo, havia comprimidos de um hóspede anterior (paracetamol ou similar) no chão, e minhas meias tinham cabelos loiros sobre eles depois de andar pelo quarto (sou morena). - Nosso banheiro precisava de alguma atenção real, o banho tinha grandes arranhões e arranhões que ficaram marrons na base e na borda onde você entra, e a argamassa estava desmoronando de um grande número de ladrilhos. Também não havia escova de banheiro que eu achava estranho! - *Por favor, tenha em mente que não há elevador geral para levar bagagem para os andares superiores, apenas um elevador de acesso para deficientes que você precisa de permissão para usar.*Nós não usamos a piscina ou spa, então não posso comentar.Em nota positiva: - Os funcionários foram todos adoráveis e muito prestativos, mesmo às 1 da manhã, quando voltamos de um casamento em família! - O café-da-manhã foi muito bom, com grande quantidade de escolha, e tinha uma bela vista para o jardim. - Dormimos bem, nossa cama era confortável e estava bem tranquilo (infelizmente não posso dizer o mesmo para minha família que ficou no último andar e foi mantida acordada por outros hóspedes). - O biscoito de boas-vindas à chegada foi um toque agradável.No geral, não a qualidade que eu esperaria de um hotel Hilton e não acho que o preço valeu a pena.

Staff and service very professional. Food excellent (room service dinner, and breakfast in room). Not aware of a lift so carried case up 2 flights which was OK for me, but may not be for others so make sure you ask for a porter. Room was quiet and comfortable. Pillows as soft as clouds but bed a little firm for me. Would stay here again definitely. Pessoal e serviço muito profissional. Comida excelente (jantar de serviço de quarto e café da manhã no quarto). Não estou ciente de um elevador, então levei a mala até 2 voos, o que foi bom para mim, mas pode não ser para outros, então certifique-se de pedir um carregador. Quarto era silencioso e confortável. Travesseiros macios como nuvens, mas cama um pouco firme para mim. Ficaria aqui novamente com certeza.

Las paredes del corredor a nuestra habitación estaban raspadas, rayadas y todo se sentía un poco lúgubre. - La habitación principal en sí no estaba tan limpia, había pastillas de un huésped anterior (paracetamol o similar) en el suelo, y mis calcetines tenían pelo rubio encima después de caminar por la habitación (soy morena). - Nuestro baño necesitaba mucha atención, la bañera tenía grandes rajaduras y raspaduras que se habían vuelto marrones en la base y el borde donde entras, y la lechada se estaba desmoronando de una gran cantidad de baldosas del piso. ¡Tampoco había escobilla de baño, lo que me pareció extraño! - *Tenga en cuenta que no hay ascensor general para llevar el equipaje a los pisos superiores, solo un ascensor de acceso para discapacitados que necesita permiso para usar.*No usamos la piscina o el spa, así que no puedo comentar.En una nota positiva: - Todo el personal fue encantador y muy servicial, ¡incluso a la 1 am cuando volvimos de una boda familiar! - El desayuno era bastante agradable, con mucha variedad, y tenía una bonita vista de los jardines. - Dormimos bien, nuestra cama era cómoda y bastante silenciosa (desafortunadamente no puedo decir lo mismo de mi familia que se quedó en el último piso y otros huéspedes los mantuvieron despiertos). - La galleta de bienvenida a la llegada fue un buen toque.En general, no es la calidad que esperaría de un hotel Hilton y no creo que el precio valga la pena.

Comida excelente (servicio de cena en la habitación y desayuno en la habitación). No estoy al tanto de un ascensor, así que llevé el caso hasta 2 vuelos, lo cual estuvo bien para mí, pero puede que no lo esté para otros, así que asegúrese de pedir un botones. La habitación era tranquila y cómoda. Almohadas tan suaves como las nubes pero la cama un poco firme para mí. Me alojaría aquí de nuevo definitivamente.

The hotel is in need of some refurbishment, there are scuff marks on most of the walls and the carpet needs replacing. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. My room was not cleaned to a sufficient standard and I ended up cleaning the shower and toilet myself before using them. The bed was comfortable, however it was hot and stuffy in the room. There was a fan attached to the wall but this was not good enough for the size of the room. I did not open the window due to being on the ground floor. The food was awful and expensive for what it was. The Premier Inn would have been better and I regret staying here. Este hotel não é o padrão que eu espero de um Hilton Hotel, e não vale o dinheiro. O hotel precisa de algumas reformas, há marcas de uso na maioria das paredes e o carpete precisa ser substituído. A equipe foi adorável e extremamente útil. Meu quarto não foi limpo com um padrão suficiente e acabei limpando o chuveiro e o vaso sanitário antes de usá-los. A cama era confortável, no entanto, estava quente e abafado no quarto. Havia um ventilador preso à parede, mas isso não era bom o suficiente para o tamanho do quarto. Não abri a janela por estar no térreo. A comida era horrível e cara para o que era. We spent 1 night in this hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms are good. A few things to mention, there is no lift so if you have issues with steps, ask for a ground floor room. Our room had a fridge which was the loudest ever, it sounded like someone is snoring loud. I had to switch off as I could not sleep. The windows are VERY old (see picture) and the wind moves them and it is hitting the frame is and loud. It kept waking me up. Other than that greatCleanliness 10/10, the room was spotless. Facilities 10/10, there are 2 restaurants, a spa with pool, sauna and a steam room. Enjoyed them a lot. Breakfast 10/10, plenty to choose from Passamos 1 noite neste hotel. A equipe foi amigável e os quartos são bons. Algumas coisas a mencionar, não há elevador, então se você tiver problemas com degraus, peça um quarto no térreo. O nosso quarto tinha um frigorífico que era o mais alto de sempre, parecia que alguém está a ressonar alto. Tive que desligar porque não conseguia dormir. As janelas são MUITO antigas (veja a foto) e o vento as move e está batendo na moldura e alto. Não parava de me acordar. Fora isso ótimoLimpeza 10/10, o quarto estava impecável. Instalações 10/10, existem 2 restaurantes, um spa com piscina, sauna e banho turco. Gostei muito deles. Café da manhã 10/10, muito por onde escolher

Lovely place. Beds are very comfy, rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are very helpful, friendly and polite. Breakfast was delicious, not many options for people who don't eat full English but if you're not picky it's great. Beautiful scenery makes a nice walk around the grounds. Lindo lugar. As camas são muito confortáveis, os quartos são limpos e espaçosos. Os funcionários são muito prestativos, simpáticos e educados. Café-da-manhã foi delicioso, não há muitas opções para pessoas que não comem inglês completo, mas se você não é exigente, é ótimo. A bela paisagem faz uma boa caminhada ao redor do terreno.

Bit disappointed with our service as considering the price we paid the housekeeping didn't even come in and empty the bins. No air con and the window only opened an inch. Lovely view of a skip. Um pouco pobre por fora, mas agradável por dentro. Piscina era ótima e incluída na nossa estadia, não precisávamos reservar. Bom café da manhã. Um pouco decepcionado com o nosso serviço, considerando o preço que pagamos, a arrumação nem entrou e esvaziou as lixeiras. Sem ar condicionado e a janela abriu apenas uma polegada. Linda vista de um salto.

Had a lovely stay, rooms only lose 1 star due to lack of air con. Breakfast was delicious, fitness centre was great (got some time to myself on the spin bike!) And we went swimming 5 times in 3 days too😃. Pretty grounds and a nice lake all add up to a lovely family break and was sad it had to end!!! Tivemos uma estadia encantadora, os quartos perdem apenas 1 estrela devido à falta de ar condicionado. O café da manhã estava delicioso, o centro de fitness era ótimo (tenho algum tempo para mim na bicicleta de giro!) E também nadamos 5 vezes em 3 dias 😃. Belos jardins e um lago agradável somam-se a uma adorável pausa para a família e foi triste que tinha que terminar!!!

Lovely place. Beds are very comfy, rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are very helpful, friendly and polite. Breakfast was delicious, not many options for people who don't eat full English but if you're not picky it's great. Beautiful scenery makes a nice walk around the grounds. Lugar agradable. Las camas son muy cómodas, las habitaciones son limpias y espaciosas. El personal es muy servicial, amable y educado. El desayuno era delicioso, no había muchas opciones para las personas que no comen inglés completo, pero si no eres quisquilloso, es genial. El hermoso paisaje hace un agradable paseo por los jardines.

Tuve una estancia encantadora, las habitaciones solo pierden 1 estrella debido a la falta de aire acondicionado. El desayuno era delicioso, el gimnasio era genial (¡tengo algo de tiempo para mí en la bicicleta de spinning!) Y también fuimos a nadar 5 veces en 3 días 😃. Bonitos jardines y un bonito lago se suman a un encantador descanso familiar y fue triste que tuviera que terminar.

A bit shabby outside but nice inside. Pool was great and included in our stay, we didn't need to book. Nice breakfast. Bit disappointed with our service as considering the price we paid the housekeeping didn't even come in and empty the bins. No air con and the window only opened an inch. Lovely view of a skip.

Lovely place. Beds are very comfy, rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are very helpful, friendly and polite. Breakfast was delicious, not many options for people who don't eat full English but if you're not picky it's great. Beautiful scenery makes a nice walk around the grounds.

Had a lovely stay, rooms only lose 1 star due to lack of air con. Breakfast was delicious, fitness centre was great (got some time to myself on the spin bike!) And we went swimming 5 times in 3 days too😃. Pretty grounds and a nice lake all add up to a lovely family break and was sad it had to end!!!
